100 Yemeni fishermen return after being released by Eritrean authorities

HODEIDAH, Aug 16 (YPA) – Eritrean authorities released 100 Yemeni fishermen who had been detained in their prisons for months.

Local sources in Hodeida said that one hundred Yemeni fishermen arrived on Tuesday to the Al-Khawkha district, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition factions. The fishermen were  in a deplorable state after being detained for more than three months.

The sources pointed out that forty Yemeni fishermen are still detained in the Eritrean prisons.

It is noteworthy that the Eritrean forces carry out attacks against the Yemeni fishermen in light of the silence of the United Nations and the complete inability of the government loyal to Saudi-led coalition to protect them.
