Close associate of leader “Abdullatif Al-Sayyed” assassinated in Abyan

ABYAN, Aug. 11 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions assassinated a close associate of the leader in the “security belt,” Abdullatif al-Sayyed in Modiya district of Abyan Governorate, southern Yemen.

This came  hours after announcing al-Sayyed’s assassination on Thursday in a bomb attack in Al-Rafdh valley in Modiya.

Informed sources in the district reported that the STC factions opened fire on leader Abboud Muhammad Hussein Qahs Al-Junaidi after he exceeded security points in the Modiya area, without mentioning the reason.

The sources see that Al-Junaidi assassination came against of the backdrop of regional motives, possibly linked to Abdullatif Al- Sayyed’s killing.
