Parliament approves report of Oil Committee                        

SANAA, Aug. 09 (YPA) –  The Parliament, in its session held in Sanaa on Wednesday and chaired by the House Deputy Speaker, Abdulsalam Saleh Zabia, approved the report of the Development, Oil, and Mineral Resources Committee on some imbalances and abuses in the oil, gas, and mineral sectors.

The Parliament’s approval of the report came after the commitment of the government, represented by the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Ahmed Abdullah Daris, in the presence of the Minister of State for Parliament and Shura Council Affairs, Dr. Ali Abu Haliqa, to implement the House recommendations.

Among the recommendations is that the Ministry of Oil and Minerals should reduce the selling prices of oil derivatives such as “gasoline-diesel” and domestic gas in proportion to the global decline and the real cost of purchase prices.
