Light showers expected to fall on different areas of Yemen

SANAA, Ag. 09 (YPA) – Light to heavy rains will be expected on Wednesday to prevail over the various areas of the provinces of Yemen.

According to the National Center of Meteorology the rain may fall on parts of the provinces of Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Dhalea, Bayda and Abyan, Saada, Amran, Mahweet, Hajjah, Sanaa, Taiz, Lahj, Shabwa, as well as the Hadramout and Mahra.

The weather will be very hot during the day in the desert areas and internal plateaus, with maximum temperatures ranging between 39-45 degrees Celsius, as well as hot and humid conditions in coastal areas and plains, with temperatures reaching between 33-39 °C.

The center said that the Socotra archipelago will be exposed to strong winds, with speeds between 35-45 knots, and active on the southern and eastern coasts and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, with speeds ranging between 16-32 knots.

It warned citizens against being in the stomachs of valleys and torrential passages in areas where rain expected.
