LAHJ, Aug 09 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) has on Tuesday warned of suspicious movements by the so-called Popular Resistance Council in Al-Sabiha areas, where arrangements are underway to receive Muslim Brotherhood leader Hamoud Saeed al-Mekhlafi.
The STC called on the people of “Tur Al Bahah” district and people of “Sabiha” to prevent and confront the weak souls in order to thwart their attempts to drag the people of the directorate into conflict, rivalry and return the directorate to the square of chaos to serve hostile agendas in the directorate and the south.
” This suspicious component (the Popular Resistance Council) that emerged at this stage poses a threat to the directorate in particular and the south in general,” the STC said in a statement .
In a statement, the STC condemned in the strongest terms actions aim at targeting the security, stability and tranquility of society through holding the suspicious meetings in the directorate
The statement called on all the sons of Sabiha from politicians, military, intellectuals and sheikhs to work to bring down this malicious project by educating society not to be dragged behind all suspicious components.
According to local sources, differences between tribal and political leaders in Al-Sabiha rise after arrangements by Sheikh Abdul Raqib Al-Bakiri to receive the leader of the Islah forces, Hamoud Saeed Al-Mekhlafi.
The sources said that Al-Bakiri has made arrangements in the Al-Atwiyin area to receive Al-Mekhlafi coming from the Sultanate of Oman, according to information.
Al-Bakiri had been appointed deputy head of the so-called Supreme Council of Resistance headed by Hamoud Saeed al-Mekhlafi.
Al-Mekhlafi’s invitation to Al-Sabiha to officially announce the entry of the Islah forces in the ongoing conflict over Bab Al-Mandab.
