Al-Arada issues new threat to Saudi Arabia over detention of his brother

MARIB, Aug 09 (YPA) – Khaled al-Arada, one of the most important leaders of the Saudi-led coalition’s factions in Marib province, on Tuesday, made a new threat to Saudi Arabia, as the kingdom continues to detain his brother Sultan Al-Aradah, pro-coalition Marib governor.

Media outlets quoted tribal sources as saying that al-Arada told the Saudi side through tribal mediators that he would not be silent on the continued detention of his brother, demanding his speedy release.

Saudi Arabia has placed Sultan al-Arada, the pro-coalition governor of Marib, under house arrest for months, although he is not known to have left the city.

The warnings of Khaled, who is on the US terrorist lists, came as concerns about the future of Al-Arada escalated in light of the movement in the Yemen file and the debate over the fate of oil revenues that Al-Arada acquires under the pretext of supporting the frontlines.
