SHABWA, Aug 07 (YPA) – Military tension between military factions loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, prevails in the city of Ataq, the capital of Shabwa province, southern Yemen, local sources said on Sunday.
According to the sources, clashes broke out between Islah’s Saudi-backed special security forces and the UAE-backed Al-Amaliqa Forces.
Sources explained that the special security forces arrested a number of soldiers of Al-Amaliqa Forces near the clothing market in Ataq, following their attempt to release their colleagues and the situation developed into clashes.
Al-Amaiqa forces had kidnapped a soldier in the special security forces and the situation remained tense.
