Civil Defense Authority launches new warning to population in Sanaa

SANAA, Aug. 05 (YPA) – The Civil Defense Authority in the capital, Sanaa, issued on Saturday warning calls to the residents via loudspeakers to avoid passing through the main torrential stream (Al-Sailah) in Sanaa and to take caution from the floods caused by heavy rains.

The authority warned, in a statement this evening, against stopping cars in Al-Sailah or crossing through torrential passages and water estuaries during the rains and not risking crossing the valleys.

The Meteorology Center had predicted, in its weather bulletin, rains of varying intensity, some of them heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms, in most of the provinces.

The center warned against the presence or crossing of torrential streams, as well as thunderstorms and low horizontal visibility during and after rain.
