Season of catching squid in waters of Red Sea opened

SANAA, Aug. 01 (YPA) – The Sanaa government’s Ministry of Fisheries declared on Tuesday the start of the squid fishing season in the Red Sea region from Yemeni maritime waters.

The season for capturing squid in the Red Sea waters began on Muharram 11, 1445 AH, corresponding to July 29, 2023, until further notice, according to the ministry’s decision.

The decision makes it illegal to catch and sell baby squid.
