SANAA, July. 30 (YPA) – The Saudi authorities have taken new decisions within a plan to annex the Yemeni provinces of oil-rich Hadramout and Shabwa.
Amin Atef, one of the most prominent sheikhs of the Hashid tribe, said on Twitter that Riyadh issued urgent directives to the Saudi Tribal Affairs Authority in Najran to receive files for the naturalization of the sons of the two provinces’ tribes.
“It was better for them to naturalize the crew of the so-called legitimate government, suspend the unjust restrictions imposed by the residency laws on Yemeni expatriates, and direct their children to be accepted into Saudi schools and universities, similar to the decision issued to freeze residents from the state of Ukraine in appreciation of the war conditions,” he added.
Atef concluded his tweet, asking: “So did this simple goal need to wage war against the Yemeni people?”
In the context, many analysts and observers described the new Saudi step as a “preemptive step” to announce the annexation of the two mineral resources-rich provinces to the Kingdom.
