Armed group kidnap sheikh of neighborhood in Taiz

TAIZ, July 22 (YPA) – Armed elements belonging to coalition forces kidnapped at Saturday night a Sheikh of a neighborhood in the center of the city of Taiz in southern Yemen.

Activists and human rights activists reported on social media platforms that an armed group belonging to “Brigade 17” led by “Ahmed Abdullah Al-Sabri” stormed the house of Al-Hasb neighborhood sheikh, Walid Hazza Al-Quraidi” and opened fire inside the house, which caused a severe panic among the residents of the neighborhood.

The activists confirmed that the gunmen kidnapped Sheikh Walid and took him to an unknown destination.
