ADEN, July. 15 (YPA) – Popular protests continuing in the province of Aden have sparked the Saudi-led coalition countries’ concerns in Aden city, south of Yemen, due to the worsening economic collapse.
The protests blamed the coalition and its allied government for the deteriorating situation that doubles the suffering citizens in the south.
Human rights activists from the people of Aden called for an organized mass exit next Monday to demand the rights of citizens, taking from any political recruitment.
Local sources in Aden said that the walls of the city’s streets were filled with slogans calling on the coalition countries to leave Aden.
The sources added that the forces loyal to the coalition being deployed for the third day in a row in the streets of the city, in an attempt to suppress the demonstrations.
The sources pointed out that the forces deployed in the streets have showed excessive sensitivity towards any chants or anti-coalition slogans, in a sign that some considered to reveal the extent of Riyadh and Abu Dhabi’s fears of the popular anger revolution in southern and eastern Yemen.
“There is a campaign of arrests against a number of leaders of the popular movements rejecting the economic collapse,” the sources added.
