Aden governor accuses coalition of practicing criminal policy against southern, eastern provinces’ people
SANAA, July 13 (YPA) – Aden province’s governor affiliated with the Sanaa government, Tariq Sallam, accused the Saudi-led coalition on Wednesday of pursuing a criminal policy aimed at starving citizens in Aden and the rest of the southern and eastern provinces.
The governor of Aden confirmed that the coalition deliberately fabricated crises and disasters to exacerbate the state of collapse in those provinces by targeting the Yemeni economy and destroying the local currency.
Sallam attributed the economic collapse in Aden and other areas controlled by the pro-coalition factions to the looting of Yemen’s sovereign wealth and hard currency revenues during the war and the transfer of these revenues to “mercenary bank accounts,” depriving citizens of basic rights.
He warned the coalition of the dangers of the policy of starvation and oppression that its tools are implementing against citizens in Aden and the rest of the southern and eastern provinces, calling on the southern components and societal forces to take firm stances towards these criminal practices.
Sallam called on the citizens in Aden and other southern and eastern provinces to restore their usurped rights to live in freedom and dignity and to work to thwart all the conspiracies led by the coalition against them.
