OCCUPIED PALESTINE, July 11 (YPA) – Demonstrators blocked a number of entrances to cities in” Israel” and the port of Haifa in protest against Zionist government’s passing of a law abolishing the “reasonableness” argument in the first reading as part of the judicial amendment plan.
On Monday, the Knesset approved the bill, which undermines the powers of the judiciary. The bill passes 64-56 — with all members of the governing coalition voting in favor, and all members of the opposition voting against
The law, which must undergo two further readings subsequent to its adoption, robs the judiciary of the possibility to challenge decisions taken by government officials and elected officials, because of their unreasonableness in the opinion of judges.
