Yemeni riyal hits record low in Aden province

SANAA, July 08 (YPA) – The Yemeni riyal recorded a record collapse in financial transactions on Saturday in Aden province and the rest of the provinces under the control of the Saudi-led coalition forces.

The exchange rate of the US dollar in Aden exceeded the barrier of 1407 Yemeni riyals, while the exchange rate of the Saudi riyal reached 372 riyals.

The collapse of the Yemeni riyal in the southern and eastern provinces came two weeks after the Central Bank in Aden announced the suspension of the weekly auction process for selling dollar reserves, until after the Eid al-Adha holiday, which is a period of up to 17 days.
