Meteorologists issue warnings to residents on weather changes

SANAA, July. 06 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology renewed on Thursday its warnings to citizens about the hot weather over desert, internal plateaus, coastal areas and the Socotra archipelago.

In a statement, the center also warned of high waves and sea turbulence around the Socotra archipelago, the southern and eastern coasts, and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab Strait, calling for taking the necessary precautions.

Mountain Highlands: The weather will be clear to partly cloudy, with light rainfall in limited areas of the mountain highlands, especially in the provinces of Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Bayda, Abyan, and Rayma, Dhamar, and Mahweet, as well as Hajjah, Amran and Shabwa.

Coastal areas: Fair to partly cloudy weather are likely during the day over the coastal areas and the Socotra archipelago, with maximum temperatures ranging between (33-39) degrees Celsius.

Desert areas: Clear to partly cloudy weather will target the deserts and internal plateaus, with the maximum temperatures reaching between (39-45) degrees Celsius.
