Sayyed Abdul-Malik criticizes Muslim countries’ reaction towards desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden

SANAA, July 05 (YPA) -The Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik bin Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, criticized Muslim countries for their failure to serve the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden with a proper response, as the crime of burning the Quran must provoke all Muslims.

Sayyed Abdulmalik made the remarks on Tuesday, less than a week after two men stood outside the Swedish capital of Stockholm’s central mosque and burned a copy of the holy book following a go-ahead given to them by a Swedish court.

The Leader explained that the burning of the Holy Quran was repeated in Sweden and became an organized and systematic act, with the Zionist Jewish lobby standing behind it.

“The lobby manipulates the West and infiltrates nations as it pleases. The Western world has, therefore, turned into a hotbed of the lobby’s plots,” he added.

Sayyed Abdul-malik vehemently condemned Western countries’ double standards vis-à-vis Muslims, saying acts of sacrilege against the Holy Quran amounted to insult against all prophets and holy books.

The Westerners refuse to expose Zionists’ crimes, he said, adding, “This points to the Zionist lobby’s influence across the Western countries.”

He added that the minimum possible response to the crime of burning the Quran is the severing of diplomatic relations and the economic boycott of Sweden.

“It would be a salutary lesson for other countries if Muslim countries severed their diplomatic relations with Sweden and started bringing it under economic sanctions,” he said.

Referring to Sweden’s limited hosting of intra-Yemeni talks in the past, Sayyed Abdul-Malik said Sanaa had officially informed Stockholm that it would not be allowed to serve as the convening country for any new such negotiations.

The Leader pointed out that Islamic peoples can have a voice to express their anger through social media, marches, and economic boycotts.

“Islamic Nation is large, its economic boycott will have an impact,” he added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader pointed to Israel’s earlier killing of at least 13 Palestinians across the occupied West Bank, mostly in the northern city of Jenin.

He identified Tel Aviv as a “criminal” entity that has been perpetrating crimes against the Palestinians on a daily basis since its claiming existence on Palestinian soil in 1948.

“The international Muslim nation bears a great responsibility concerning Palestine,” he added, considering Arab states’ positions on the Israeli crimes to be disproportionate to the oppression that was being committed against Palestinians.

“The Saudi regime did not turn against Sweden or Zionist enemy, as it did with Qatar, with which it severed its relations, prevented its airspace over it, and attacked it negatively,” he explained.

Sayyed Abdul-Malik also expressed his hope that Yemenis will continue their clear and prominent position on the Palestinian issue, as well as that the state of coordination and cooperation in the axis of resistance towards Palestine will be strengthened.

“We look with reverence and admiration at the efforts made by the Palestinian people and the sacrifices they make in Jenin, the West Bank, Gaza and all of Palestine,” he concluded.
