Weather Forecast: Rain of varying intensity and hot to very hot weather expected in several provinces

SANAA, July 01 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology predicted on Saturday rain of varying intensity in parts of the governorates of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, West Sanaa, West Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea and Tihama Plain.

The center indicated, in a weather forecast for the next 24 hours, that sporadic rains may fall in northern Lahj, Bayda and Shabwa provinces, as well as on the highlands and deserts of Hadramout and Mahra governorates.

The weather is expected to be hot to very hot during the day, dry in the deserts and internal plateaus, where the maximum temperatures range between 40-45 degrees Celsius, and hot and humid in the coastal areas and the Socotra archipelago, where the maximum temperature is between 34-39 degrees Celsius.

It is possible that the winds will be active to strong around the Socotra archipelago and the southern and eastern coasts, with a speed ranging between 20-40 knots, causing wave height and sea turbulence.

The center warned citizens against being present or crossing the torrent passages, and the need to take shelter from thunderstorms, and beware of low horizontal visibility during and after rain.
