Pilgrims perform greatest pillar of pilgrimage in Arafat

MECCA, June 27 (YPA) – About two million pilgrims began to leave Arafat Mount near the Holy Mecca on Tuesday, after standing, praying and performing the greatest pillar of Hajj.

The Hajj season recorded record numbers this year in an atmosphere of extreme heat, and it is held without any restrictions related to the number of pilgrims or their ages, after three years of organizing a limited Hajj against the background of the outbreak of the Covid pandemic.

The pilgrims spent the night in the Mina Valley, seven kilometers from the Grand Mosque in Mecca, the holiest city for Muslims.
