Meteorology expects hot weather targeting desert areas

SANAA, June 26 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected very hot weather during the day on deserts and internal plateaus, with maximum temperatures ranging between 40-45 degrees Celsius.

The center also affirmed, in a weather forecast, that the temperatures on coastal areas and plains and the Socotra archipelago would reach 35-40 degrees Celsius.

The center indicated that light rains may occur in parts of the provinces of Saada, Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj, Bayda, Abyan, Shabwa, Hodeida, Amran, Sanaa and Dhamar.

It called on residents to take away from the valleys and passages of torrential rains in the areas where rain expected, as well as drivers on mountainous roads from low horizontal visibility during the rains.
