Hadramout witnesses angry protests against power outages

HADRAMOUT, June 19 (YPA) – Dozens of citizens in the city of Al-Shihr in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen, went out on Sunday evening in angry protests against the frequent power outages.

Blocking the main roads in the city and burning tires, the protesters expressed their anger and dissatisfaction with the silence of the government and the Presidential Council loyal to the Saudi-led coalition towards their suffering.

The protesters called on all citizens in the southern provinces to go out next Thursday, June 22, in a massive outburst of anger to expel the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council and the pro-coalition government.

The people of the southern and eastern provinces, controlled by the coalition and its allied factions, live in continuous and unprecedented suffering as a result of the deterioration of basic services, especially the interruption of electricity service in the summer.
