Over 3,000 people killed or injured in traffic accidents in Sanaa-controlled areas

SANAA, June 15 (YPA) – The General Traffic Department in Sanaa has reported the death and injury of 3,254 people due to 2,333 traffic accidents in the capital, Sanaa, and provinces during the period between the months of Sha’ban and Shawwal in the current Hijri year, 1444.

The Traffic Department reported 344 deaths, including 293 men and 51 women, and 2,910 injuries, including 2,027 with severe injuries and 883 with moderate injuries. The severe injuries included 699 men and 184 women, and the moderate injuries included 699 men and 184 women.

According to the statistics issued by the Traffic Department, the recorded traffic accidents included 965 vehicle collisions, 939 pedestrian run-overs, 73 fixed object collisions, 139 motorcycle collisions, and 185 rollovers, as well as 32 other diverse accidents.
