SANAA, June 15 (YPA) – Rains of varying intensity will be expected in parts of the Yemeni provinces within the coming 24 hours, according to the National Center of Meteorology.
In its weather bulletin on Thursday, the center affirmed that the rainfall would pravial over the provinces of Saada, Jawf, Hajjah, Mahweet, Amran, Sanaa, Rayma, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj, Shabwa, Hadramout, Bayda, and Mahra.
It pointed out that high temperatures range between 40-44 degrees Celsius in desert areas and internal plateaus during the day, and 36-40 in coastal areas, with high-speed winds reaching more than 45 knots in the Socotra archipelago, and 15-35 knots at the western and eastern coasts, and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.
The center urged citizens not to be in the valleys and passages of waters, warning motorists to drive carefully on mountain roads of low horizontal visibility during the rains .
