Clashes break out between Islah militants, tribesmen in Marib

MARIB, June 15 (YAP) – Clashes broke out between Islah forces and tribal groups in Marib governorate, media outlets sources reported at dawn on Thursday.

The clashes broke out between road security forces affiliated with Islah party and gunmen from Al Ma’ili family, Obaida tribe in the valley district after they cut off the international road east of Marib.

The sources confirmed that the clashes left casualties from both sides.

Islah party earns billions of riyals per month from oil and gas in Marib, where its cadres control most of the positions, while depriving the tribes of the province of their right to public office and throwing them into inter-war wars to weaken them.
