Armed confrontations broke out in Aden

ADEN, June 14 (YPA) – Armed clashes broke out on Wednesday in al-Tawahi area in the center of Aden city, which is under the control of the coalition factions in southern Yemen.

Local sources in the city confirmed that guards of the building of the authorities in al-Tawahi area prevented the director of the district, Wajdi al-Shaabi from entering and practicing his work due to stopping their dues.

The sources said that verbal altercations took place between the guards of the building and al-Shaabi bodyguards, which developed into shooting without mentioning any human and material losses, most likely there were wounded.

The sources also pointed out that the confrontations left a state of panic and terror among residents of al-Binjsar neighborhood in al-Tawahi, with continuing tensions between the guards of the building and gunmen in the UAE-backed transitional factions.
