Syria’s FM arrives at Riyadh

RIYADH, June 11 (YPA) – Syria’s Foreign Minister, Faisal Mekdad, arrived on Sunday in to Saudi capital Riyadh, to participate in the second ministerial meeting of the Arab countries with the Pacific island countries.

The Syrian News Agency “SANA” reported that Mekdad’s visit came in response to the invitation of his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, to participate in the second ministerial meeting, which began its work at the expert level.

The visit will go on two days, as the meeting will be held on Sunday and Monday, June 11 and 12, in the Saudi capital.

Mekdad’s visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is third within three months, as he made his first visit last April, and he also accompanied President Al-Assad to Jeddah to attend the League of Arab States Council at the summit level.
