HADRAMOUT, May 30 (YPA) – The statements of the Secretary-General of the “Hadramout Tribes Reference” affiliated to Saudi Arabia, Jamaan bin Saad, dashed the hopes of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) to control the Wadi Hadramout’s districts.
Bin Saad, who resides in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, said on Twitter that Hadramout did not export the war, neither to the north nor to the south.
He stressed that “Hadramout will only be an axis of safety and a strong pillar in the equation of equality and partnership,” indicating that Saudi Arabia has worked to stop the control of the Emirati factions over the province’s directorates.
Some observers expected Saudi Arabia would intend to complete the deployment of its affiliated “Shield of the Nation” factions instead of the “first military region’s brigades loyal to Islah in the directorates and desert of Hadramout during next June.
