Pro-coalition senior official escapes assassination attempt in Taiz

TAIZ, May 29 (YPA) – A senior official in the coalition-affiliated government survived an assassination attempt in the center of the southern Yemeni city of Taiz.

According to media sources, unknown gunmen fired a hail of live bullets on Sunday evening at the car of “Madin Tarbush”, director of Zakat Duties Office of the coalition government authority in Taiz governorate.

The city of Taiz is witnessing a major security lapse and expansion of killings, in light of the poor performance of the security services in the province .
