Meteorology issues statement on weather changes in Yemen

SANAA, May 25 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology has expected rainy weather in several provinces of Yemen.

According to its weather bulletin on Thursday, the light to heavy rains would prevail over the areas of the provinces of Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Bayda, Rayma, Dhamar, Sanaa, Mahweet, Amran, Hajjah and Saada, extending east towards Jawf, Marib and Shabwa.The bulletin indicated that sporadic rains may fall on parts of Hadramout, Mahra, and the Socotra archipelago, as well as the coasts.

It advised residents to take shelter from thunderstorms and rock and mudslides, especially on mountain roads, calling on them to take the necessary precautions.
