Scattered showers expected to fall on various provinces

SANAA, May 20 (YPA) – Rains of varying intensity will be expected in several provinces during the coming 24 hours, according to the National Center of Meteorology.

The center said in its weather forecast that scattered showers would praveil over the provinces of Saada, Amran, Mahweet, Rayma, Dhamar, Dhalea, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Jawf, south of Marib, Bayda, Abyan and Shabwa, Mahra and Hadramawt.

The sporadic rains may also fall on parts of the desert areas, the Socotra archipelago, the eastern and western coasts.

The center warned citizens in areas where heavy rains expected against the flow of torrents in ways and valleys during and after the rains.

It advised citizens to take shelter from thunderstorms and rockslides, especially drivers, by taking the necessary precautions.
