Man killed in Lahj tribal clashes

LAHJ, May 18 (YPA) – A civilian was killed on Thursday as a result of tribal clashes for the second straight day in Lahj province, southern Yemen.

Local source said that the clashes happened at a popular market in the center of Tur Al-Baha district.

This came one day after nine people got killed and wounded, including civilians, as a result of the tribal clashes between tribes of “Atwiyin” and “Al-Mamiya” in the district.

Tur Al-Baha district has witnessed in a state of security chaos, as a result of the spread of UAE-funded armed gangs that practice the crimes of killing, looting, and robbery against travelers and truck drivers.
