SANAA, May 13 (YPA) – The Yemeni riyal’s devaluation rate has increased yet again, resulting in a record drop in financial transactions in provinces controlled by the Saudi-led coalition on Saturday.
The US dollar exchange rate in the southern province of Aden amounted to 1,270 riyals, while the Saudi riyal exchange rate reached 336 riyals.
The Yemeni riyal collapsed in the coalition-controlled areas just days after it had recovered, with the exchange rate of one dollar reaching 1,210 riyals.
In Sanaa, the Yemeni riyal remained stable at 535 riyals per dollar as a consequence of a series of steps implemented by the Sanaa government last year to ensure currency stability.
