Armed clashes erupt in Shabwa, leave wounded

SANAA, May 13 (YPA) – A number of people were injured on Saturday due to an armed confrontations erupted in the province of Shabwa, which is under the control of UAE factions in eastern Yemen, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources explained that clashes broke out between tribal gunmen and elements in UAE factions in the middle of Yashbem market in al-Saaid area south of the city of Ataq, leaving two wounded from both sides.

The sources also reported that the clashes lasted for about an hour, which caused direct damage to citizens’ homes and shops, and caused panic among people.
