Saudi Arabia rearranges Islah factions in Shabwa

SHABWA, May 08 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia has sought to rearrange Islah Party’s factions in Shabwa province, east of Yemen.

According to informed sources, the moves came through the visit of the Saudi commander of the “support and attribution” forces, Sultan Al-Baqami, who revealed a striking force of the Islah Party factions in the province.

Earlier, Sagheer bin Aziz, the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defense in the coalition-backed government published on Twitter account pictures of Al-Baqami’s visit to “Arin” camp, where the Islah military factions are stationed, amid news indicating that they have joined Riyadh-formed Dara al-Watan Forces.

Activists loyal to Saudi Arabia circulated a video of the Islah factions in the camp, chanting “We will sacrifice our soul, our blood for you, Yemen,” following a speech delivered by the Saudi leader Al-Baqami, and another video of the recruits performing folk dances to the sounds of songs.

The Islah Party militants’ parade in Shabwa came 9 months after it was expelled by the UAE-affiliated factions from the province in early August.
