Explosions rock Kiev amid flying drones

KIEV,  May 05 (YPA) – A series of explosions rocked separate areas of Ukraine’s capital, Kiev, on Thursday amid overflights of drones and the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ attempt to shoot them down.

The Ukrainian TV channel “TSN” quoted eyewitnesses as confirming the presence of drones in the sky over the center of Kiev, the Ukrainian air defense attempt to shoot them down, and that the explosions have not stopped for more than 20 minutes.

Earlier, sirens sounded in Kiev province, warning of Russia’s air strikes.

For his part, Sergei Popko, head of the military administration in the Ukrainian capital, spoke of the sound of explosions and fires in the Solominsky district in Kiev as a result of the falling wreckage of drones.
