Sanaa gov’t affirms keenness to strengthen partnership relations with int’l orgs

SANAA, May 02 (YPA) – The head of Sanaa government of, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, on Tuesday confirmed keenness to strengthen aspects of partnership with various UN and international humanitarian organizations and to address any problems or obstacles that may hinder their future activity.

This came during his meeting today with a delegation of emergency managers from a number of international organizations, which is visiting Yemen, and the representative of the United Nations in Yemen – Humanitarian Coordinator – William David Gresley.

During the meeting, Dr. Bin Habtoor reviewed the great challenges and the growing needs of the Yemeni people in light of nine years of continuous aggression and siege on Yemen.

The Prime Minister underlined the need to continue supporting the vital sectors directly related to the lives of citizens and focusing on sustainable projects.

Dr. bin Habtoor expressed his hope that the delegation’s visit would contribute to strengthening and expanding the volume of support for the various areas of priority for the Yemeni government and people.

In turn, the representatives of the international organizations pointed out that their visit aimed to review the current situation in Yemen and to work to reformulate support programs and continue to support the Yemeni people in their current ordeal.

In the meeting, the urgent needs of the public health, water, environment, education, motherhood and childhood sectors were discussed.
