SANAA, May 02 (YPA) – Rains of varying intensity will be expected in a number of Yemeni provinces in the coming 24 hours, according to the National Center of Meteorology.
The center affirmed, in its weather bulletin, that the provinces of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Mahweet, Sanaa, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj, Bayda, Abyan, and Shabwa, would witness the scattered showers.
The center also predicted that sporadic rain will sometimes be accompanied by thunderstorm in parts of the plateaus and deserts of Jawf, Marib, Hadramout and Mahra, as well as Socotra Archipelago.
It warned citizens in areas of thunderstorms against being in torrential passages and valleys during and after the rains.
The center also warned of the decrease in the extent of horizontal visibility on mountainous roads, in addition rockslides, due to rain and fog.
