Man accused of killing 4 people killed during clash with police in Ibb

IBB, April 28 (YPA) – The police of Ibb province said that an accused of killing four members of his family was killed during a clash with a security campaign sent to arrest him in Bani Wael village of Hazm Al-Udain district on Friday.

According to the provincial police, the accused, identified as “Muhammad Abdulbasit Masoud,” killed due to a shootout with security personnel.

The police stated that as soon as the security men arrived in the area, the accused began firing at them, hitting one of them with a bullet, prompting the security personnel to retaliate and shoot him.

Masoud is suspected of murdering four members of his family, (his 70-year-old grandmother, 15-year-old cousin, and two cousins, one of whom is 15 years old and the other 11 years old), the police said.
