Chinese army raises its state of alert after spotting US military plane over Taiwan Strait

BEIJING, April 28 (YPA) – The Chinese army announced on Friday that its forces are on high alert after monitoring a US military plane while it was crossing the Taiwan Strait.

According to the “CGTN” channel, the Chinese army spokesman, Shi Yi, said that the movement of the “P-8A” military aircraft of the US Navy was monitored during its flight over the Taiwan Strait on Friday.

The spokesman added that the Chinese forces have raised the state of alert, pointing out that they are on high vigil at all times to protect national sovereignty over all of their territories.

He explained that “American ships and planes have been carrying out provocative activities frequently in the recent period.”

The spokesman also pointed out that this fully proves that the United States is working to destabilize peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.
