Armed groups block Lahj-Aden Road

LAHJ, April 19 (YPA) – Traffic stopped on Lahj-Aden Road as hundreds of trucks and vehicles lined up in a long line in Tur Al-Baha district, after armed groups blocked the road.

Local sources said that gunmen cut off the main road linking Taiz and Lahj governorates, causing traffic to stop, demanding the payment of their salaries.

Citizens and owners of trucks and buses called on the local authority in Lahj province to put a solution to these acts, which have become frequent as a result of the failure of the local authority and the security and military agencies to protect the road, as their role does not exceed imposing taxes, royalties and leaving the gunmen to tamper with it.
