Ukrainian plane crashes in Russia’s Bryansk region

WORLD, April 06 (YPA) – Two Ukrainian planes, one of which crashed in Russia’s Bryansk province on Wednesday, were carrying aerial bombs, Russian broadcaster REN TV reported .

The channel quoted a source that police and security men found at the site where the saboteurs threw the bombs, two craters with a diameter of six and four meters, respectively, in addition to fragments of aerial bombs.

“In the vicinity of the crash site were also found a Kalashnikov assault rifle and a bulletproof vest hidden by the pilot,” the source said.

In addition, security officers found a grenade lever handle, two electronic boards, a notebook with notes, a video camera, an automatic machine gun, and two cartridge storage.

On Wednesday afternoon, two Ukrainian sports planes crossed the border of the Bryansk region, where they reportedly threw something before smoke was spotted rising near the village of Lesnoyeh in the Suraj region.

One of the planes managed to return to the territory of Ukraine, while the other fell after touching an electrical cable. When Russian security forces arrived at the scene, the pilot tried to escape, but was quickly located and arrested.
