Iran to send official invitation to Saudi king to visit Tehran

TEHRAN, March 28 (YPA) -Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, affirmed that his country would send  an invitation to Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to visit Tehran.

In an interview with Al Jazeera news network on Monday, the top Iranian diplomat said Iran has responded to an invitation by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to visit Riyadh and will offer to reciprocally host the king.

Regarding the negotiations of the nuclear deal, the Iranian foreign minister said the lawmakers seek to approve a plan which sets limitations to the negotiations to salvage the JCPOA.

He also reaffirmed Tehran’s commitment to continued cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Saudi Arabia and Iran reached a Chinese-sponsored agreement that ended more than seven years of diplomatic estrangement, as it was agreed to reopen embassies between the two countries within a maximum period of two months, they said in a joint statement with their mediator China.
