UAE signs free trade agreement with Israeli occupation

TEL AVIV, March 27 (YPA) – The UAE and the Israeli occupation signed on Sunday a free trade agreement between the two sides, before the relevant bodies ratified it and entered into force.

The signing was attended by Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Foreign Minister Eli Cohen, and UAE Ambassador to the Israeli occupation, Muhammad Al Khajah.

The two sides reached a free trade agreement for the first time last May, promising to boost bilateral trade after they normalized relations in 2020 in a US-brokered deal.

The agreement was signed in 2022 in Dubai by the Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry, Orna Barbevi, and the Emirati Minister of Economy, Abdullah bin Touq Al-Marri, after negotiations that extended for several months.
