Xi Jinping reelected as president of China to third term

WORLD, March 10 (YPA) – Xi Jinping was unanimously elected president of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the PRC on Friday at the ongoing session of the 14th National People’s Congress.

Xi pledged loyalty to the Chinese constitution in a speech delivered at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing after his election to the ongoing annual legislative session of the National Congress, Xinhua News Agency stated.

Nearly 3,000 members of China’s parliament, the National People’s Congress (NPC), voted unanimously in the Great Hall of the People for Xi to be president in an election where there was no other candidate.
