ADEN, March 04 (YPA) – A leader of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) on Saturday survived an assassination attempt in downtown Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition forces.
According to local sources in the city, unknown gunmen shot a member of the “STC” and head of the so-called “Community Committee”, Fadel Al-Rabab, while he was in front of his house in Al-A’tibba neighborhood in the Khormaksar area.
The gunmen fired indiscriminately and then fled to an unknown destination, the sources said.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The attempted assassination of al-Rabab was widely condemned by the people of his neighborhood.
The people and residents of Aden are living in a state of systematic security chaos, which posed a direct threat to their lives and property, which serves foreign interests in the city and its vital port.
