America calls for extension of grain export agreement without any delay

SANAA, March 02 (YPA) – The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, on Thursday that the grain export agreement, which is a multilateral agreement between Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Nations, would be extended without any delay.

“The grain export deal must be extended without delay,” Blinken said, in a press conference on the sidelines of the G20 meeting in India, adding, “Russia wants to disrupt grain exports, and the deal will end on March 17.”

On Wednesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed that the grain agreement could be extended, if Russia’s interests were taken into consideration.

On July 22, 2022, a multilateral agreement was signed in Istanbul between Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Nations, on lifting restrictions on the supply of Russian products, and Russia’s assistance in exporting Ukrainian grain.
