President Al-Mashat inaugurates Coffee Exhibition, Marketing Festival in Sanaa

SANAA, March 01 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, launched the Sanaa Coffer Exhibition and the Yemeni Coffee Marketing Festival in the capital Sanaa on Wednesday.

The President emphasized the significance of the exhibition and festival’s launch since Yemeni coffee represents a global prestige and uniqueness with excellent flavor and taste.

“Yemeni coffee is a genuine commodity known for its exceptional quality and relationship with Yemeni civilization,” he explained, noting that Yemeni coffee was famous around the world for shipping vast quantities to other countries from the port of Mocha, and was known internationally as “Mocha Coffee”.

President Al-Mashat called for paying attention to coffee growing, providing farmers with seedlings and motivating them to plant this essential cash crop because of its significance in giving the national income in hard currency.

He confirmed the Supreme Political Council’s support for the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and other relevant authorities’ efforts to cultivate fruit trees, including the expansion of coffee tree, in all Yemeni provinces.
