President Al-Mashat stresses importance of restoring agricultural activity

SANAA, March 01 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, stressed on Wednesday the importance of restoring agricultural activity in the Republic’s various provinces in order to achieve eventual self-sufficiency in agricultural products.

President Al-Mashat inaugurated the 1444 AH afforestation season at the level of the capital’s secretariat and provinces, planting a number of trees in the courtyard of Al-Shaab Mosque in the capital, Sanaa.

 The President affirmed the interest in the agricultural sector and support for fruit trees, and directed the Ministry of Education to carry out a student activity to plant trees.

 He also urged raising societal awareness of caring for trees, which contributes to the expansion of vegetation in all cities, villages, and regions.
