Meteorology expects continuation of cold weather within coming hours

SANAA, Feb. 18 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology is expected the continuation of cold weather and the formation of light frost in a number of provinces during the next 24 hours.

In its weather bulletin on Saturday, the center indicated that the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Ibb, Dhalea, Jawf and Marib may witness cold weather during the late hours of the night and early morning.

The center also expected the formation of light frosts in some of these areas of Dhamar Bayda, and parts of Saada and Sanaa.

Active winds, with a maximum speed of 28 knots, will hit the south of the Red Sea and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, and light dust affecting separate areas of deserts, internal plateaus and parts of the western highlands.

It warned citizens, especially farmers, the elderly and children, of cold weather.
