SANAA, Feb. 15 (YPA) – The Minister of Justice in the Sanaa government, Judge Nabil Al-Azzani, discussed on Wednesday with the Acting President of the Yemeni Banks Association, Mahmoud Naji, ways to enhance cooperation between the judiciary and the association.
The meeting reviewed the difficulties banks face before the judicial bodies and ways to address them in accordance with the law.
The Minister of Justice stressed the importance of presenting perceptions of the treatments proposed by the association after coordination with the Central Bank of Yemen, referring to the interaction of the judiciary in a way that serves the interests of the national economy and preserves the rights of citizens’ money deposited with banks.
For his part, the Acting President of the Association of Banks appreciated the interest of the judiciary in issues related to banks and the judiciary’s keenness to strengthen the national economy, especially in light of the continuing war and blockade.
